Gloucestershire comedy fans finally have the chance to see the Trigger Happy TV live show on their doorstep, as creator and proud Cheltonian, Dom Joly, announces a hometown show as part of his upcoming UK tour.
Promising to be 'the most personal and most anticipated night of the entire run', the Trigger Happy TV tour comes to the Parabola Arts Centre on Saturday 5 December 2026 – and tickets are on sale now.
Trigger Happy TV sparked a global comedy revolution, inspiring a whole new generation of comedians, with hidden camera videos going on to define much of the viral content found on YouTube and social media today.
The tour celebrates 25 years of the groundbreaking show, which saw Dom shouting into a giant mobile phone, being besieged by an army of squirrels and masquerading as a human-sized snail, with many of its beloved characters being brought back into the spotlight, alongside original unseen footage, behind-the-scenes bloopers and, most excitingly, brand-new material.
The announcement comes as Dom's regular hometown show, Dom Joly's SpeakeaZy, turns one this April 2026, following a year of celebrity guests and sell-out shows.
Those who managed to get tickets to the sold-out SpeakeaZy in August and September 2025 were treated to a sneak preview of the Trigger Happy TV live show ahead of its initial run, but this new date will be the first time hometown audiences get to see the full live show in all its glory.
Dom said: 'I can’t believe it’s been twenty five years since I first started shouting into a giant mobile phone. Trigger Happy TV changed my life and bringing these characters back for a massive anniversary tour is a total blast.
'Cheltenham is my home, and while the SpeakeaZy at The Steam and Whistle has been incredible, bringing the full Trigger Happy chaos to the Parabola is going to be a level up. I can't wait to share some brand-new mayhem with my hometown audience.'
Tickets are on sale now via the Cheltenham Ladies' College box office.
