What to expect from Emerge Digital’s Leading With AI: Business Transformation Workshop?
This four-hour, hands-on workshop for business leaders is run by Emerge Digital, a technology and digital innovation business and managed services provider, based in Cheltenham's Eagle Tower.Instead of sitting through slides, attendees will instead work on their own business during the workshop, with expert guidance from Emerge Digital to demystify AI and apply it directly to their businesses.
Each attendee brings one process from their own business (for example, onboarding a customer, raising invoices or answering the same enquiries every week) and works on it during the day.
Emerge Digital's OnyxAI programme director, Mel Cheeseman, will demonstrate the same everyday task using both a general AI tool and Microsoft 365 Copilot, helping attendees understand which tools are best suited to different tasks and where human judgement remains essential.
Mel said: 'The workshop isn't about AI for AI's sake. It's about taking a real process in your business, understanding where AI can genuinely improve the way you work, and leaving with a practical plan to do something about it.'
Chief operating officer, Tom Henson, will lead attendees through mapping their own business process, identifying where time and effort are being spent and which steps could be better handled or supported by AI.
And head of innovation, Steve Brady, will then show attendees how an AI agent could tackle a specific problem in their process, helping turn the opportunities they have identified into a practical solution.
What will attendees leave with?
No technical knowledge is needed. Attendees will leave with a mapped business process, a clearer understanding of where AI can add value, and practical next steps for putting their plan into action.
