This December 2026, Cheltenham Ladies' College's Parabola Arts Centre brings a bold reimagining of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, to the stage.
Its first-ever in-house commercial production features This Country star Paul Cooper and promises to be 'gloriously unhinged'.
What to expect from A Christmas Carol at Parabola Arts Centre?
Describing the show as 'A Christmas Carol as you've never seen it before', audiences can expect laugh-out-loud humour, musical numbers, and a high-energy performance, bringing a joyous new take to the story they know and love.
This comedic reimagining of the classic Christmas tale sees This Country star Paul Cooper take centre stage as Ebenezer Scrooge, with the show being written and directed by Small Prophets actor Kieran Mortell, and the Parabola's own Theatre Studio ensemble making up the supporting cast.
Paul said: 'Scrooge is a gift of a part to play, and this version gives him real mischief and energy without losing the heart of the story. It's a proper family show, and I'm looking forward to bringing it to the Parabola Arts Centre for what I understand is a first for the venue.'
Cheltenham Ladies' College suggests that the show is suitable for children aged seven and up.
