Moog is recruiting a number of quality engineers to join its growing Commercial Aircraft Group, based at its smart factory in Tewkesbury.

Moog, one of Gloucestershire’s biggest aerospace employers, is expanding its specialist quality engineering team at its advanced Tewkesbury smart factory.

The new quality engineer roles offer the chance to work on complex aerospace programmes within a global engineering business known for innovation, precision and world-class manufacturing.

Driven by continued growth and a strong pipeline of new aerospace programmes, Moog is hiring a number of quality engineers to support quality planning and manufacturing activities across new and existing aerospace production programmes.

Working within the Commercial Aircraft Group, the roles based in Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, will focus on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP activities and continuous improvement initiatives to help ensure products meet strict aerospace and regulatory standards.

About the roles

Successful candidates will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and supplier quality teams  helping integrate quality processes into new product introduction (NPI) programmes, while supporting investigations, corrective actions and compliance activities.

The new quality engineer roles also involves supporting audits from organisations including the Civil Aviation Authority and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, alongside contributing to process improvements across manufacturing and assembly operations.

Who would be perfect for the roles?

These roles would suit people with experience in quality, engineering or manufacturing environments, particularly within aerospace or another regulated industry.

Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and quality planning tools would be advantageous, alongside strong communication and problem-solving skills.
