Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a senior product development engineer to join its engineering team at its Gloucestershire headquarters.The successful candidate will lead the development, qualification and certification of advanced aerospace products, working across the full product lifecycle and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions for customers around the world.
About the role
As a senior product development engineer at Moog, you'll take technical ownership of complex aerospace projects, guiding products from initial concept through design, development, testing and certification.Working closely with colleagues across engineering, manufacturing and programme management, you'll translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions while ensuring projects meet demanding safety, quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities include leading design reviews, planning and overseeing validation and qualification testing, analysing technical data, supporting customer technical reviews and mentoring less experienced engineers.
You'll also have the opportunity to work with advanced engineering technologies including CAD, finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing, supported by Moog's extensive in-house testing capabilities.

Who are they looking for?
Moog is seeking an experienced engineer with a degree in mechanical, aerospace or a related engineering discipline, together with significant experience developing products within a highly regulated engineering environment.The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, experience managing complex engineering programmes and a thorough understanding of structured product development, verification and qualification testing. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, EASA Part 21 regulations or systems engineering would also be advantageous.
