Demonstrating its success in helping students progress into their chosen careers, the University of Gloucestershire has exceeded the national average and topped the leaderboard in two subjects in the latest Graduate Outcomes survey.
The survey, delivered by the Higher Education Statistics Agency, provides a picture of employment, further study, career progression and how graduates feel about their current activity.
The 2023/24 figures, released this June 2026, show that nearly 94 per cent of University of Gloucestershire graduates were in employment or further study 15 months after completing their course, placing the university above the sector average.
The results also include several areas of 'exceptional performance' for the institution, with Technology and Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies both ranked joint first in the UK for positive outcomes, while 100 per cent of its Technology and Law graduates achieved positive outcomes after their studies.
Its Media, Journalism and Communications subjects are now 7.4 points above the sector average, while Design, Creative and Performing Arts are 3.3 points above the sector average.
Clare Marchant, vice-chancellor at University of Gloucestershire, said: 'We're delighted to see our graduates continuing to achieve such positive outcomes. These results are a testament to the hard work of our students and staff, and to the strength of the employability support we provide through our Career Promise, which continues long after students have completed their studies.
She added: 'We work closely with employers to ensure our graduates are ready for the world of work, and we support our students in identifying opportunities where their skills, experience and potential are a strong match.
'It's important that students are not discouraged by the narrative that 'there are no jobs'. There are opportunities available, and with the right support and determination, our graduates continue to demonstrate that they can build meaningful and rewarding careers.'
