Dean Close St John's November open morning gives prospective families from the Forest of Dean and the surrounding areas an opportunity to experience everyday life at the co-educational school, which welcomes children from Kindergarten through to Year 8.

Set above the River Wye with views towards Chepstow Castle, Dean Close St John's offers a broad education spanning academics, sport, music, drama, art and outdoor learning.
The open morning starts at 9am, with families welcomed for coffee before embarking on a tour of the school led by senior pupils.
Visitors will be able to see lessons taking place, explore facilities and hear directly from pupils about their experience of school life.
Meet Dean Close St John's teachers
As well as touring the school, parents will have the opportunity to meet the head and members of the teaching team.
It is a chance to ask questions about the curriculum, pastoral care, school life and the transition between different year groups, while getting a feel for the school's close-knit community.
The main open morning is expected to finish at around 11am.

Families can also choose to extend their visit with an optional Discover & Flourish Session.
Designed around an individual child's interests, sessions can offer a closer look at areas including science, mathematics, art, drama, music, languages and sport, with opportunities to meet relevant teaching staff and experience activities first-hand.
Children are welcome to attend the open morning with their parents, although families can also choose to make an initial visit without them.
